Mike Senff has been in the energy business for more than 20 years. He is an experienced leader with a proven track record of building, growing and leading some of the largest energy organizations in the industry. Specific disciplines include energy procurement, wholesale energy trading and sales leadership.
Mike began his energy career in 1994 as a gas scheduler and pricing analyst at Enron Energy Services in Dublin, Ohio. Mike then joined FirstEnergy Solutions in Akron Ohio and became responsible for all physical procurement, wholesale trading and portfolio management in support of FirstEnergy’s retail natural gas business.
In 2004, Mike joined Direct Energy. He spent 10 years in various roles within Direct Energy. He held several senior level positions within Direct Energy that included leadership of Portfolio Management and Pricing, Product Development and Sales across North America. In 2012, he became Interim President of Direct Energy Business and was a key member of the deal team that acquired Hess Energy Marketing
In 2013, Michael left Direct Energy to pursue a start-up opportunity with Guttman Energy, serving as President of the Natural Gas and Power division. He was successful in leading a team that grew the organization from start-up to one serving over 6000 customers in Ohio and Pennsylvania.
In late 2015, the Natural Gas and Power Division of Guttman Energy was sold to Engie and Mike left to start Advantage Energy Partners. His diverse experience on the supply side of the retail energy business and his passion to help customers navigate the complex world of energy uniquely positions him to lead Advantage Energy Partners.
